ARTS 212-01: Life Drawing
This studio art course will focus on the human body as subject. Students will learn to draw from the nude model, male and female. The formal concerns of proportions, structure and volume will be demonstrated through the use of line, tone and value. A variety of drawing methods will be employed using a range of materials. Through a series of research-based studio projects, students will be asked to consider the body from historical, cross-cultural, social and scientific perspectives. This course will count as a drawing requirement for the studio art minor.
