Thanks to the generously endowed Margaret Windisch Studio Art Fund, Denison’s Studio Art Program can provide its students with exceptional field trip experiences to visit museums, galleries and exhibitions beyond the Central Ohio area.
The Fund's contributions have enabled our senior students to take subsidized trips to New York City to spend a few days visiting museums such as MoMA, The Guggenheim, The New Museum and PS1 Contemporary Art Center, as well as numerous Chelsea galleries. Students have also had the opportunity to visit the studios of artists working within the city. In November of 2009, the students had the privilege of visiting the home and viewing the collection of Don and Bettina Bryant, chief donors of the Bryant Art Center.
In 2009 and 2010, students traveled to Cincinnati for day trips to The Cincinnati Museum of Art and The Contemporary Arts Center provided by the Margaret Windisch Fund.
