Biology Scores Big at the 2009 Awards Convocation!

The Biology Department was extraordinarily well represented at this year’s Awards Convocation. Senior biology majors Meredith Atwood, Kristen Hohl, and Charisse Mandimika were all awarded the prestigious Presidential Medal, in recognition of their stellar academic performance and their exemplary contributions to the Denison community. Additionally, Professor of Biology Tom Schultz was named the recipient of this year’s Charles A. Brickman Teaching Excellence Award, the highest honor bestowed upon Denison faculty. Also recognized were scholarship winners Evan Pugh (Critical Language Scholarship) and Megan Ansbro (Fulbright Research Scholarship), and Phi Beta Kappa inductees Cecilia Murch and Sarah Perrine (along with Ansbro, Atwood, and Hohl). Congratulations to our award recipients! Go Biology!
