Ephemeris
Ephemeris, the Classical Journal of Denison University, is published once a year and seeks to offer an opportunity for those interested in Classical Studies to publish their scholarly work in an undergraduate forum. It promotes the coming together of history, literature, philosophy, religion, art, and architecture in a way that is both analytical and creative. As is an objective of the Classical Studies department, Ephemeris fosters an attitude about and an appreciation for criticism and interpretation of the classical civilizations.
It is our hope that students, faculty and staff are inspired to continue to cherish the fundamental principles established by the ancient societies. Ephemeris is in its sixth semester of print and now exists as an online document. For the first time, in the spring of 2004, Ephemeris included submissions from the "Ohio Five" schools including Kenyon College, College of Wooster, Ohio Wesleyan University and Oberlin College. The goal of previous editors to institute an intercollegiate journal dedicated to the Classics has been realized and will continue to grow.
