Focus the Nation

On Thursday, January 31st, 2008 high school and college campuses across the nation will simultaneously unite in a common purpose to discuss the reality of global warming and debate possible solutions. This day has been designated Focus the Nation Day. The goals of Focus the Nation are threefold. First, Focus the Nation will force the 2008 presidential candidates to emphasize the challenges we face in reducing the effects of global warming and acknowledge our nation’s responsibility in designing large-scale solutions. Second, Focus the Nation aims to promote dialogue and interconnection between the campus and broader community. Third, the underlying principles also encourage citizens to instigate their local and state representatives into action.
