Wednesday, September 21  Flew to Burlington, VT. Spent the night in Jericho, VT

Thursday, September 22  Drove northwest to Grand Isle County to visit several outcrops of Ordovician sedimentary rocks. Returned to "mainland" to see Cambo-Ordovician sedimentary rocks and the Champlain and Hinesburg Thrusts. Returned in the late afternoon to Jericho, VT.

Friday, September 23  Drove east across Vermont: Pleasant Valley Road - VT Rt. 15 east - VT Rt. 100 north - VT Rt. 58 east - VT Rt. 5A south. Along this route we stopped at several outcrops to look at structurally deformed sedimentary rocks, an ophiolite sequence, a Devonian granitic pluton, pillow lavas and a glacially scoured lake. We spent the night in Lyndonville, VT.

Saturday, September 24  Drove to Crawford Notch. Once in Crawford Notch, we examined three plutons within the White Mountain Batholith, the metamorphosed country rock they intrude, as well as glacial sediments and landforms. At the end of the day we returned to Jericho.

Sunday, September 25   Drove to Smuggler's Notch to examine the modern and ancient landslide deposits. We drove up the Mount Mansfield Auto Toll Road for lunch, an overview and short hike. Departed Burlington, VT, flying back to Columbus.    Returned to campus at approximately 10:40 PM.
