Academic Structure of the Honors Program

A. Denison students with a 3.4 GPA (3.6 beginning with the Class of 2010) are eligible to register for seminars in the Honors Program.

B. To be a member of the Honors Program and to graduate from the Honors Program, a student needs to complete the following requirements:

Maintain a 3.4 GPA (3.6 beginning with the Class of 2010).

Declare intention to the Director of the Honors Program to complete the requirements in the Honors Program no later than pre-registration time in the fall of the Junior year.
Complete at least four Honors seminars during the Denison career. It is recommended, but not required, that two of the four seminars be completed by the end of the sophomore year.
Complete a senior Honors project in a department or program, in accord with ordinary university policies governing Honors projects.

Students wishing to declare the intention to complete the Honors Program requirements should discuss this option with the Director or Assistant Director of the Honors Program no later than the end of the sophomore year. An eligible student may participate in the seminars ("A" above) without completing the specific requirements in "B".
