Jim’s work in political science has focused on the design of
programs and institutions to facilitate the development of small holder
agriculture. He currently works in
Uganda, but has also conducted research in Zambia and Malaysia. His scholarship appears primarily in
interdisciplinary journals of development. He teaches courses on international political economy, the politics of
developing countries, environmental politics, and Africa.
