Revised Policies for Retention of Major Scholarships
As a result of an action by the General Faculty on April 3, 2003, the regulations for retention of some scholarships (other than scholarships that currently require a 2.0, e.g., alumni and provost awards, and certain other scholarships) have been eased.
1) The following scholarships will be retained as long as recipients maintain a cumulative 3.0 grade point average: Heritage, Faculty Scholarship for Achievement, Trustee, University, Multicultural Achievement, Dr. Betty Lovelace, Dunbar, Wells, Carr, Battelle Endowed.
2) This standard will not be applied until the end of the sophomore year. (However, students below a 2.0 grade point average at the end of the first year lose their scholarships.)
