Every summer, the Paul R. Ashbrook Scholarship is awarded to a Denison student for the purpose of exploring an issue raised by their previous community service at a more in-depth level. Under the guidance of a faculty advisor, the student receives a $3300 stipend and housing to do a ten week internship of their design in the local community.

The 2009 recipient of the Ashbrook scholarship is junior Nora Deeg, who will be researching Granville Schools’ experience with ESL issues and working on how those issues are handled throughout Licking County.
