Professor Lele is an Associate Professor in the department of Sociology/Anthropology and
earned a B.A. from Cornell University, a M.A. from Georgetown University, a M.A. in
Anthropology from the University of Michigan, and a M.Phil. and Ph.D in Anthropology from Columbia University. His teaching and research areas include Ireland, with a particular
focus on Irish-speaking communities, cultural identity, and material culture.
