Department Awards

Our department presents several endowed awards each spring to highly deserving Mathematics and Computer Science students. In addition, we induct our best students into our chapters of two national academic honor societies. More information about each honor and its past recipients can be found below.

Alice Hutchinson Lytle Award

The Alice Hutchinson Lytle Award, established in 1970, is awarded to the senior female who has earned the highest cumulative GPA in mathematics and computer science courses during her first three years. This individual must have taken at least two semesters of mathematics and computer science at Denison. In any given year that no female shall qualify, the department can substitute a male.
