While Granville was still recovering from the ice storm of the century, math student Colleen Hughes ('06) presented her summer research work with Professor Lew Ludwig at the Undergraduate Poster Session at the Joint AMS/MAA Mathematical Meetings in balmy Atlanta, GA on January 7. Her work was entitled "Linked Triangle Pairs in K6." There were 121 posters from student research groups across the nation and Colleen was one of 31 chosen to receive a $100 cash prize for her presentation and result. Colleen plans to extend this work for her senior honors project after she returns from her semester at the University of Bristol, UK.
