Upsilon Pi Epsilon is the first and only existing international honor society in Computer Science. The main goals of UPE are to recognize outstanding talent and promote high scholarship in computer science.
Denison's chapter (Delta of Ohio) of UPE was chartered in September, 2000.
Each Spring, we invite a small number of students to be inducted into Upsilon Pi Epsilon. To be considered, a student must:
- have taken at least 5 Computer Science courses (18 credits)
- have at least a 3.5 GPA in their Computer Science courses
- have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- be in the upper 35% of Computer Science majors in their class
