Flute Fall Practice Party
• Practice 6 days every week and win “party prizes”. (Lesson day counts as 1 practice.)
• “Party” starts Monday, September 14 and ends Sunday, November 29.
• Practice required (per day): age 3-6: 10 minutes; age 7–10: 15 minutes; age 11-13: 20 minutes; age 14 up: 25 minutes
• Parent practice partner tracks days practiced at home.
• Parent and student enter number of days practiced each week on poster in Linda’s studio.
• At the end of each month, Linda will put a “party star” on the poster for each student who met the practice requirements for the whole month. The student will receive a “party prize” for the month.
• Students who have “party stars” for all 3 months (Sep., Oct., Nov.) will receive a “perfect practice party prize” in early December.
Practice Palooza 2009 Participants:
Students who participated in Practice Palooza are encouraged to continue their daily practice habits established during Practice Palooza and extend them for entire year until the next Practice Palooza begins on Valentine's Day, 2010. Your instructor has calendars for recording each day's work.
Practice Palooza Year Rules:
1. Just as in Practice Palooza, students are given one 'oops day'
per month when they are unable to practice.
2. Because of the long duration of this club, students are given an
additional three weeks in which they will be excused from practice
one or more days during each of these weeks. These weeks are not
permitted to be taken successively, or back to back. There are many
reasons why a student may have to use one of these weeks as an
incomplete practice week, such as family vacation, holidays,
illnesses, or just an extremely busy time of year with extra-
curricular events. If you use one of these additional 'oops weeks',
simply record the date of each day during that week that you missed
on the lines provided on the back of your calendar.
We hope that the routine practice established in Practice Palooza
continues with our year long club!
