Denison University Suzuki Program

Suzuki Violin Instructor

Description: Position to start Summer or Sept. 2008. Teach individual lessons and group classes, assist with parent education, recitals and special events, and participate in regular staff meetings. Part time with opportunity to supplement work load with students and performance opportunities in the Columbus area.

Denison University is an independent residential liberal arts college with approximately 2,000 students and 164 faculty members. Denison was founded in 1831 and is located in Granville, Ohio, a small community in central Ohio, about 30 miles east of Columbus, OH. The Denison University Suzuki Program currently offers instruction in cello, flute, piano, viola, and violin to approximately 100 area students.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in performance or music education, SAA training required, min. 2 yrs. Suzuki teaching experience preferred. Strong commitment to Suzuki philosophy.

Salary: Commensurate with training, experience, and number of hours taught.
