Maryfrances attended Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from West Chester University, PA, and a Master of Arts in Piano Pedagogy from The Ohio State University. She received the bulk of her Suzuki training from Mary Craig Powell.  She has been on the piano faculty of the Suzuki Music Columbus Summer Institute and is co-founder of "Suzuki Piano Friends", a frequent gathering of Suzuki piano teachers in the Columbus area. Maryfrances works with the adult and children's choirs at Jersey Baptist Church in Pataskala and teaches 9th grade girls Sunday school.  She volunteers with the Tri State Collie Rescue and will happily show you pictures of her latest foster dog.  She is an avid gardener and enjoys a good book in her spare time.  She has been a Suzuki violin parent for many years (and will happily show you pictures of her kids, too!) and has a passion for supporting and encouraging other Suzuki parents.
