Ashley B. Wise

Ashley is a native of Jackson, Tennessee.  She holds a B.M. in Piano Performance from Middle Tennessee State University and an M.M. in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.  Since moving to Columbus in 2005, Ashley has maintained active membership with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, The National Guild of Piano Teachers, and the Ohio Chapter of Music Teachers National Association where she serves as co-chair of the District Festival annual event.  Ashley received Suzuki teacher training at Capital University under the instruction of Mary Craig Powell.  She has served as an accompanist for Capital University, Otterbein College, and Denison University and has served as a studio instructor at Denison University.  Ashley also accompanies throughout the city for several primary and secondary schools and teaches in her private piano studio, Wise Notes, Ltd.  Ashley strives to promote a fun and positive learning environment that focuses on challenging the student, providing performance opportunities and building self-esteem for the overall musician.  Ashley is an active participant of the Raise Productions Mass Choir.  While volunteering in her church and community, Ashley continues to play for a variety of musical events and keeps the flute as her secondary instrument.
