Tuesday, Sept. 8:  Philosophy Dept. Welcome Picnic, 5:30 pm, Lamson Lodge.  Join us for BBQ, games, and a great chance to meet your professors and fellow students.

Thursday, Sept. 17:  Lecture by Professor Robert Richards, University of Chicago, "Darwin's Biology of Intelligent Design."  8 pm, Higley Hall Auditorium.

Friday, Sept. 18:  Colloquium with Professor Robert Richards, University of Chicago, "A Defense of Darwinian Evolutionary Ethics." 3;30 pm, Samson Talbot Hall Room 210. 

Wednesday, Sept. 30:  Presentation by Alexandra Bradner and Seth Chin-Parker, "A Philosopher and a Psychologist Walk into a Lab...: An Interdisciplinary Study of Explanation."  4:30 pm, Olin 114.
