Physical Education

ATEP Graduation Requirements

Students who graduate from a CAATE accredited ATEP are eligible to sit for the BOC examination in athletic training. In order for a student to graduate from this ATEP they must successfully complete each of the following requirements.

  1. Administrative
  1. Didactic - Earn a minimum grade of C- in each of the required courses.
  2. Clinical - Receive 3 semester hours of academic credit by completing each of the six clinical education courses, PHED 350-81 through PHED 350-86.
  3. External Professional Experiences
  1. Clinical Field Experience - Achieve at least 590 hours of supervised athletic training field experience. These hours are accumulated within the clinical education course series PHED 350-81 through PHED 350-86.
