Model UN
Once again Dr. Katy Crossley-Frolick’s United Nations and World Problems course attended the annual Model United Nations simulation in Chicago over Thanksgiving break. This year the class represented Pakistan. Class sessions prior to the simulation as well as extensive research helped the team prepare for the event. The team spent three days proposing, debating, and discussing world issues from the perspective of Pakistan. They simulated a variety of committees and commissions including: the Disarmament and International Security Committee, the Economic and Financial Committee, the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the International Court of Justice.
