At Denison since 1972, Dr. Thios teaches in the areas of child and adolescent development, pediatric psychology, and exceptional children.  His current research focuses on mainstreaming children with disabilities and gender differences in language.  Dr. Thios is currently Vice President of Student Affairs and serves as the editor of the Down's Syndrome Quarterly.
