A Denison University chapter of Triota, the Women's Studies Honor Society, was founded in 2009. The first induction ceremony was held February 25, 2009.

WHO? Iota Iota Iota is named for the ancient goddesses Inanna, Ishtar, and Isis

WHAT? An academic honor society for the field of women’s studies

WHY?
To encourage and support scholarship and excellence in women’s studies

AND?
Iotans are responsible students and responsible people. All chapters offer a variety of services

and a feeling of community to other women students. Some services include:

· Scholarships

· Book Certificates

· Mentoring

· Co-sponsorship of Women’s History Month

· Community Service

Iota Iota Iota (aka Triota) strives to maintain feminist values central to women’s studies: egalitarianism, inclusiveness, and celebration of the diversity of women’s experiences. Triota is currently functioning as a national coalition of student clubs organized and recognized at the institutional level. Current chapters are located at over 100 colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada, including Metropolitan State College of Denver, the Alpha chapter.

Students who have taken at least 8 credit hours in Women's Studies courses and have at least a 3.25 GPA are invited to join Iota Iota Iota.
