August Orientation Schedule
The following events are designed to provide the information and skills to help you begin your Denison career with your best foot forward. Attendance at sessions marked with a double asterisk (**) is required.
Thursday, August 28
8:30 am-noon
Move into Residence Hall
Move into your designated residence hall in the following order: students with last names beginning with A-H arrive between 8:30-9:30; students with last names beginning with I-O arrive between 9:30-10:30; students with last names beginning with P-Z arrive between 10:30-11:30; open check-in follows from 11:30am -noon. You will be assisted with move-in by August Orientation staff and upper-class students.
Refreshments will be provided at East Hall, the Curtis Service Center entrance, and Morrow House from 9-11 am.

August O Registration, First-Year Center, Higley Hall, Room 118
After you have dropped off your belongings into your room, please go to Higley Hall to pick up your August O Packet. This contains your picture I.D. (if you attended June Orientation), a temporary meal pass, your August O group number, the name of your faculty advisor, and other important information. (After 1:30, please go to the Office of First-Year Programs, Higley Hall, Room 119.)

Complete required paperwork to be employed on campus. Please bring either (1) your passport or (2) both your driver's license and your social security card or original birth certificate. (After 1:30, please go to Doane Hall, Room 307.)

Pick Up Registration Packet, Registrar Office, Doane Hall, Room 205
For a student to be confirmed as registered, he or she must submit to the Office of the Registrar the red and white form entitled STUDENT PERSONAL DATA FORM. This form can be found in your registration packet and must be submitted before classes begin on Monday, September 1.

Registration fee is $55. Please present valid state vehicle registration form. Students who have registered their vehicle by mail may pick up parking stickers in the same location. **Assembly of the Class of 2012, Swasey Chapel
Students in the entering class meet for information regarding August Orientation activities and to form processional line for the Induction Ceremony, the formal installation of the Class. Please dress appropriately in "business-casual" attire. Please arrive promptly at 6:15 pm.

Friday, August 29
Students will be divided into teams and led by an August Orientation staff member through a series of programs during the day. Each team will complete the sessions in a different order. Group schedules and name tags will be distributed on Friday morning by leaders. Your group number is located on the outside of your packet and on the bright pink sheet. Please bring your name tag to all activities.

Professional performers blend improvisational comedy, education, and audience participation in a provocative look at issues related to dating, sex, gender role stereotypes, and misunderstandings between the sexes. Even-numbered groups attend the first performance, odd-numbered groups the second.
