June Orientation Travel Plans

Denison will provide transportation to students and accompanying family members as described below. We send shuttles ONLY when we know that participants are scheduled to arrive, so it is vital that you provide your travel information to us in advance. Please read and save the information below, and return your travel information to us either on the online form below, or our printable Travel Plans form.

By Plane

During June Orientation, Denison will send a shuttle to the Port Columbus International Airport to pick up and drop off participants and accompanying family members. The shuttle will depart the airport at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on the morning of Day One, and will depart the campus en route to the airport at 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. of Day Two. Travel from campus to the airport takes about 45 minutes. Please plan your flights accordingly.

Flights should not be scheduled before 3:00 p.m. when leaving on Day Two.

In the event that you miss your flight or it is delayed, please contact the First-Year Office as soon as possible, at 740-587-6224. In the event that you cannot get through, please contact the Denison Operator at 740-587-0810. We will arrange transportation if a driver is available; otherwise, it will be your responsibility to rent a car or hire a taxi. The cost of a taxi is about $85 each way.

By Bus

Denison will provide transportation to and from the Greyhound Bus station in Columbus, Ohio. The shuttle will pick up students and accompanying family members at 9:00 a.m. on Day One, and return you to the station around 2:30 p.m. on Day Two. Please make your reservations accordingly.

Early Arrivals

For reasons of both security and comfort, we do not normally provide housing to students the night before or after June Orientation.
