Academic Writing Strategy: After finishing a draft, leave it for a while, then read it again. The break will help you identify weak points and will give you a fresh perspective.
We believe that writing is not a process that occurs in isolation or by a sole individual. Instead, writing is a collective effort that students, instructors, and Writing Consultants engage in together. We work toward this goal with student writers and faculty.

If your paper is 6 pages or longer, we recommend scheduling two appointments. Schedule your first session on the hour and the second on the half hour if possible. This will allow you to work with the same consultant throughout your session.
