Academic Writing Strategy: If you are arguing a point, make sure that everything you say in the paper advances the point you are trying to make.
We believe that writing is not a process that occurs in isolation or by a sole individual. Instead, writing is a collective effort that students, instructors, and Writing Consultants engage in together. We work toward this goal with student writers and faculty.

If your paper is 6 pages or longer, we recommend scheduling two appointments. Schedule your first session on the hour and the second on the half hour if possible. This will allow you to work with the same consultant throughout your session.
