B.S. in Women’s Studies from University of Massachusetts
M.Ed. in Second Language Education from University of Houston
Ph.D. in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania
Susan Kanter has a degree in Composition and TESOL (Teaching of English as a Second Language). Her research interests are voice and student engagement, particularly in research writing, adult second language acquisition and multilingual student writers. She teaches First-Year Seminars in composition and works with students and faculty members to develop strategies that assist multilingual writers in reading and composing the discourses of the academy.
