In Pursuit of Academic Excellence
The Honors Program at Denison is specially designed to challenge
exceptional
students. This
program offers
up to 25 rigorous seminar courses intended to meet the intellectual
aspirations and expectations of highly motivated individuals.
Seminars and courses often involve speculative and interpretive
work that requires strong analytical thinking.
As part of the Honors Program, you will have the opportunity to:
- take seminar courses that match your intellectual ambitions over the course of four years
- benefit from regularly scheduled symposia, honors activities, and extracurricular events that complement your seminar offerings. You might conduct research into a wide variety of areas that have real impact. Recent projects have tackled such issues as adolescence and diabetes, motherhood and welfare advocacy, flag burning and hate speech, college students and energy conservation, the post-Vietnam era, and holistic healing.
- take advantage of a number of scholarly opportunities open to high-achieving students at Denison
Honors students here have been awarded post-Denison scholarships
Recent Honors Program graduates have been recognized with post-Denison scholarships including 32 Fulbright Scholarships and eight National Science Foundation Fellowships.
