Denison students can take advantage of innovative summer research projects

Explore, Discover, Enlighten
Important to your Denison education, research projects will teach you how to be resourceful, make logical connections, and enlighten others with something original. Challenging and personally rewarding, these research skills can also provide sound preparation for graduate study or career development.

Research opportunities at Denison include:

Summer Research: Denison offers four innovative summer research programs that give students a stipend and free housing while they pursue a collaborative research project with a professor. A record 134 students participated in 2006. In recent years, Denison students have collaborated with faculty on diverse research projects such as developing techniques for reducing instances of relapse among substance abusers, gender differences in a variety of social behaviors, the Catholic church and its recent scandals, star formation and galaxy evolution, and environmental issues of Cuba.

Honors Project: Students with a strong academic record are eligible to design and undertake a two-semester creative or research project in their major.

Senior Research: Earn course credit for two semesters of research leading to a thesis or another project of your choosing.
