Burpee's Seedy Theatrical Company
Burpee's Seedy Theatrical Company is an improvisational comedy troupe at Denison University in Granville, Oh. Founded in 1979 as an outgrowth of a
theatre class taught by Denison professor Kevin Hoggard, Burpee's is
the nation's oldest collegiate improvisational comedy group.
This select group of talented comedians only allows freshman to audition.
Spanning many hours over an entire weekend, new members are only
accepted with a unanimous vote in by the current members. At any given
time there are about 10-15 members.
The purpose of the group is simple: to have fun and make people laugh. In
order to do so, Burpees take risks and go "out on a limb."
Burpees returned to campus for our 30th Anniversary Celebration on April 17-19, 2009. Here are just a few photos from the weekend.
