Steve Knoop '78 graced the cover of Quintessential Barrington magazine as he and his crew prepared for the 333-mile Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac this summer. It was his 32nd race in the 100-year history of the international regatta known as "the Mac."

Steve is currently is a member of the board of the alumni foundation of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is the founder and managing principal of First Chicago Advisors, Inc. and also is a publicly elected trustee of the Village of Barrington Hills, IL.

Christy Hammond Ball '81 writes: "It's funny but Denison follows me wherever I go...when I first moved to my neighborhood in Fairfield, CT 14 years ago, there were 7 Denison grads in a neighborhood of 50 people...now there are 4 but our neighbor is sending their oldest child in the fall!" She also wrote that when she went to work at Greens Farms Academy 4 years ago, she found that five of her co-workers either graduated from Denison or have sent their children there.
