Men's Soccer: Shorten named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America squadDenison senior Peter Shorten was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America first-team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Shorten is the 57th Academic All-America recipient from Denison and the first men's soccer player in the history of the program. |

Women's Soccer: Seven earn All-NCAC honors; Oshita named Offensive Player of the YearThe Denison women's soccer team had seven athletes receive All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in 2009 while Gail Murphy was selected NCAC Coach of the Year for the second-straight year and third time in her career. DU captured their eighth outright NCAC regular season crown and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. |

The Big Red finished second in the conference and captured their second NCAC Tournament crown after defeating rival Ohio Wesleyan University in double overtime. |

Women's Cross Country: Navarre wins NCAA Regional ChampionshipDenison junior Katie Navarre became the first female in Denison history to win the individual championship at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship on Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind. Navarre, who was coming off a NCAC title two weeks ago, will compete in the NCAA Championship next Saturday in Cleveland. |
