Junior sprinter Michael Barnes has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first-team for men's track and field/cross country. Barnes will now advance to the national ballot where he will have to opportunity to earn ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors.

The senior doubles team of Randy Lofgren and Kevin Newman closed out a brilliant four-year career on the hard courts following a 7-6, 6-4 loss in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Division III Men's Doubles Championship from Bates College.

Women's Tennis: Cobb and Drane advance to NCAA Doubles Quarterfinals

One day after helping their team to a program-best third place finish at the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships, three Big Red team members remained in Minnesota for the chance to earn individual titles at the NCAA singles and doubles championship tournaments.

The Denison women's tennis team completed their best season in school history following their third place finish at the 2008 NCAA Division III Championships.  In addition to the team finish, Marta Drane and Kristen Cobb were the runner-up in the Division III Doubles Championship.
