Baseball: Held named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Third TeamSenior center fielder Justin Held was named to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America third team as selected by The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This marks Held's first appearances on the Academic All-American squad after earning first-team All-District status the past two years. |

Baseball: Big Red close season with sweep of No. 23 PSU-BehrendDenison closed the book on the 2009 schedule Sunday afternoon with a sweep of 23rd ranked Penn State-Behrend. Denison took game one, 11-3, and pulled ahead late for a 7-3 victory in game two. The Big Red end the year with a 21-19 record. |

Baseball: Earlham and Denison split marathon doubleheaderThe Denison Big Red rebounded from a 12-11 loss in game one with a record-setting 26-12 victory in game two over Earlham College on Saturday night. The twinbill, which began just after 5 p.m. wrapped up minutes before midnight from McBride Stadium. Over the course of the two games, Earham and Denison combined for 62 hits and 61 runs. |

Baseball: Denison splits twinbill with WabashThe Denison baseball team closed out their four-game series against Wabash College with a doubleheader split on Sunday in Granville. The Big Red snapped a six-game skid with a 5-4 victory in game won but the Little Giants rebounded to win the nightcap 8-2. |
