Denison Names Mike Clark Head Baseball CoachDenison University Director of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation Larry Scheiderer announced on August 12 the hiring of Mike Clark as the college's head baseball coach. Clark comes to Denison after spending six seasons as an assistant coach at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. |

Baseball: Held named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Third TeamSenior center fielder Justin Held was named to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America third team as selected by The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This marks Held's first appearances on the Academic All-American squad after earning first-team All-District status the past two years. |

Baseball: Big Red close season with sweep of No. 23 PSU-BehrendDenison closed the book on the 2009 schedule Sunday afternoon with a sweep of 23rd ranked Penn State-Behrend. Denison took game one, 11-3, and pulled ahead late for a 7-3 victory in game two. The Big Red end the year with a 21-19 record. |

Baseball: Earlham and Denison split marathon doubleheaderThe Denison Big Red rebounded from a 12-11 loss in game one with a record-setting 26-12 victory in game two over Earlham College on Saturday night. The twinbill, which began just after 5 p.m. wrapped up minutes before midnight from McBride Stadium. Over the course of the two games, Earham and Denison combined for 62 hits and 61 runs. |
