Junior guard Chris Luther (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) was named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference second team after helping lead the Denison men's basketball team to a berth in the NCAC Tournament.

Luther led the Big Red in scoring with 14.9 points per game and three-point field goal percentage, draining 36 percent of his attempts. The junior guard was the team's leading scoring in 14 of their 26 contest and scored 20 or more points in seven games, including two 24-point performances against Marietta on Dec. 3 and Oberlin on Jan. 11. Luther shot .415 (113-of-272) from the field and finished the 2008-09 season with 94 rebounds, 31 assists and 26 steals. He also finished fourth in the league with a 7.96 free throw percentage, and ninth in scoring and three-point field goals made (45).

Denison finished the year 8-18 overall and eighth in the conference.
