Jeremy Stuhlfauth scored 14 points in 14 minutes off the bench helping Denison to a NCAC win over Earlham.

Jeremy Stuhlfauth (Columbus, Ohio/Whetstone) came off the bench to score 14 points off 6-of-7 shooting and Chris Luther (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) scored a game-high 17 points as the Big Red rolled past Earlham College 85-57 on Thursday night in Granville.

Denison held a 12-point lead at the half thanks to a 24-6 run over the final eight minutes of the first half.  Stuhlfauth's play can be directly attributed to the DU hot streak.  The 6'7 senior scored six points and grabbed three rebounds during that span and forced the Earlham defense to respect the Denison inside game.  In doing so, that opened up the perimeter and the Big Red responded with three big 3-point field goals heading to the locker room.

In the second half Denison quickly built on their lead and wound up leading by as many as 37-points with just over five minutes to play.  In all, 13 players got in the scoring column and all 16 active players received at least three minutes of playing time.

It was a complete game for the Big Red as the defense held the North Coast Athletic Conference's leading scorer, Tristan Gregory, to five points which is nearly 16 points below his season average.  The offense responded by shooting 58 percent from the field and 41 percent from 3-point range.  They forced the Quakers into 21 turnovers and held them to a 19-for-44 effort from the field while dominating the boards 33-19.

Luther was 6-for-9 and 4-of-6 from beyond the arc in 25 minutes.  Pat Sullivan (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) scored 10 points, had four rebounds and seven assists in 26 minutes.  Mike Garabedian (LaGrange, Ill./Nazareth Academy) chipped in nine points and six rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

Earlham was led by A.J. Sutherlin's 14 points.

Denison has won two straight NCAC contests and now sit at 5-13 overall and 2-7 in league play.  They will return to the court on Saturday (Jan. 31) when they take on Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. at 2 p.m.
