Men's Basketball: Denison suffers setback at Hiram

The Terriers of Hiram College shot an impressive 60 percent (18-of-30) from the field in the second half en route to a 74-46 victory over the Denison men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon at Price Gymnasium.

After taking a 29-24 lead into the second half, Hiram poured it on in the second half by jumping out to a 50-30 lead. The Terriers then went on a 20-6 burst spanning seven plus minutes to help build up their biggest lead of the contest at 34 points. Hiram closed out the game in impressive fashion taking home a 28-point victory.

The Terriers held a 38-18 edge in points in the paint, a 19-6 advantage in second-chance points and out rebounded the Big Red 44-32.

Senior Pat Sullivan (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) led the DU with 10 points and six rebounds. Junior Chris Luther (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) also chipped in seven tallies.

Babajide Eniola notched a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Hiram. Also aiding the Terrier offense was Chris Roberts with 10 tallies.

Denison (3-12, 0-6 NCAC) returns home to take on the College of Wooster on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
