Men's Basketball: Red hot Bishops too much for Big Red

Ohio Wesleyan University shot 57 percent from the field and connected on 10-of-21 from beyond the arc en route to an 85-60 victory over the Denison Big Red in North Coast Athletic Conference men's basketball action from Livingston Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

The Bishops (6-5, 2-1 NCAC) opened up a double-digit lead with 10:44 left in the first half and never looked back.  Kyle Miller led all scorers with 17 points while going 5-of-7 from 3-point range.  Tim Brady came off the bench for 15 points in 14 minutes and Brent Pleiman chipped in 12 points and five rebounds.

Denison was led in scoring by senior Pat Sullivan's (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) nine points.  Caleb McFerren (Zanesville, Ohio/Zanesville) and Chris Luther (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) both added seven points. 

Denison shot 36 percent from the field and were outrebounded 38-28.  They committed just nine turnovers to OWU's 10 but the Battling Bishop bench outscored Denison's 42-28.

Denison falls to 3-9 overall and 0-3 in the NCAC with the loss.  They will look to get back in the win column on Saturday (Jan. 10) when they host Oberlin College at 3 p.m.
