Men's Basketball: Big Red suffer road loss to Wittenberg

Wittenberg jumped out to double-digit lead early in the first half against the Denison Big Red on Wednesday night and never looked back, resulting in a 74-45 loss to the Tigers from Pam Evans Smith Arena.
Denison trailed 39-18 at halftime after shooting just 26 percent from the field. They warmed up to 41 percent in the second half but the Tigers had the contest in control by that point. The Tigers were led by Kevin Murray who scored 14 points off 6-of-11 shooting. Josh McKee followed with 13 points in 20 minutes of action.
The Big Red were led by Chris Luther (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) who scored nine points and had five rebounds.
Wittenberg had a 39-32 edge on the boards and shot 50 percent (29-for-58) from the field. Denison hit on 33 percent of their field attempts.
Denison will travel to Washington, Pa. on Saturday (Dec. 13) for a 2 p.m. tip-off against Washington & Jefferson College.
