Men's Basketball: Late Run Sends Hiram Past Big Red Men
Larry Farmer scored a career-high 23 points and added 12 rebounds in Denison's 8-point loss to Hiram.

Hiram College scored 10 unanswered points in just under two minutes midway through the second half en route to a 89-81 comeback win over the Denison Big Red on Saturday afternoon at Price Gymnasium.
Denison led by three at the half and hung with the Terriers until their run with 13 minutes left. Freshman Larry Farmer (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Twp.) had the best game of his career as he went off for 23 points, 12 rebounds and three steals in 28 minutes. Farmer hit 9-of-14 from the field and was 3-for-5 from 3-point range.
He was one of five Big Red players to reach double digits in scoring. Pat Sullivan (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) and Brian Elder (Granville, Ohio/Watkins Memorial) both hit for 15 points apiece and sophomore Chris Luther (Dayton, Ohio/Oakwood) chipped in 10 points.
Hiram was paced by Mike McDevitt's 18 points and 10 rebounds. Hassan Muhamed was 8-for-11 from the field and finished with 17 while Ian Pfouts and Mike Staley both scored 16 for the Terriers who improve to 8-15 and 5-9 in the NCAC with the victory.
Denison shot 49 percent as a team and outrebounded Hiram 40-26. The Big Red will return to the court on Wednesday (Feb. 20) when they host Earlham College at 8 p.m.
