In 2010 Adam Stewart will begin his second season as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Denison University. A 2003 Denison graduate, Stewart returns to the program for which he played and served as a student-coach from 2000-2003.
A native of Grandview Heights, Ohio, Stewart comes to Denison after serving as the Director of Community Relations and Assistant Athletic Director his alma mater, The Wellington School, in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
While at Denison, Stewart spent two years as a member of the Big Red lacrosse team and was a part of the 2001 NCAA Division III semifinal team. Following his sophomore season, injuries cut his playing career short and Stewart was offered the opportunity to join Caravana on the sidelines as a student coach. A role he filled until his graduation in 2003.
"I am excited for the opportunity to return to Denison alongside Coach Caravana. As a former member of the program, I have a tremendous amount of respect not only for the history of the program but for the effort the student-athletes make, both on and off the field," said Stewart.
"We have a great group of men that are dedicated to the concepts and philosophies that Coach Caravana brings to the program. I am looking forward to working with the team as we continue to pursue our goals as a program."
In addition to his lacrosse duties, Stewart will assist Mark Watts with the day-to-day operations of Denison's strength and conditioning program.
