Andy Zidron

In 2008 Andy Zidron will join the Big Red for his fourth season as a member of the coaching staff. Zidron capped off one of the most successful seasons in Denison University history in 2004 as the team-captain and an All-NCAC selection. As a four-year starting defender at Denison, Zidron has been instrumental in creating and maintaining a successful program.
Zidron grew up in Cincinnati and attended Anderson High School while playing competitively for Cincinnati United Premier. Zidron went on to play varsity soccer at Denison University where he graduated in 2004 with a degree in biology, he returned the following year to obtain his teaching license. The summer of 2005 Zidron played as a reserve for the Cincinnati Kings of the United Soccer League Second Division. Following his stint in the USL Zidron accepted a job teaching high school science at Licking Valley High School and coaching at Denison as well as in the Newark Area Soccer Association.
Married to his high school sweetheart in 2006, Zidron lives in Granville with his wife, Kelly, who is also a teacher. In his spare time Zidron enjoys staying in shape by playing soccer and running.
