Men's Cross Country: Big Red finish sixth at Knight Invitational

The Denison men's cross country team finished sixth in the 11-team field at the Knight Invitational hosted by Calvin College on Saturday.

Freshman standout Dee Salukombo (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood) paced the Big Red with a fourth place finish while senior Grant Russo (Medina, Ohio/Medina) came in sixth. Salukombo crossed the finish line in a time of 25:35 and Russo followed with a time of 25:41.

Junior Adam Tewahade (Aurora, Colo./Regis Jesuit) took 24th in the 117-man field with a time of 26:20. The senior duo of Skyler Mosenthal (Briarcliff, N.Y./Briarcliff) and Lex Hultquist (Knoxville, Tenn./Webb School) rounded out the scoring for DU. Mosenthal finished 30th with a mark of 26:35 while Hultquist was 42nd with a time of 27:03.

Denison returns to action on Saturday (Sept. 27) when they travel to the Cedarville Invitational.
