Men's Cross Country: Salukombo leads Denison to second place finish at GLCA Championship

Freshman standout Dee Salukombo's (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood) victory helped lead Denison to a second place finish at the Great Lakes College Association Championship hosted by Oberlin College on Saturday.
Salukombo finished the race with a time of 26:04, just seven seconds ahead of senior teammate Grant Russo (Medina, Ohio/Medina). With the victory Salukombo records his second first place finish of the season and is the first men's runner to win the event since Joe Dunham in 1999.
Senior Skyler Mosenthal (Briarcliff, N.Y./Briarcliff) captured 14th with a time of 27:00, while junior Adam Tewahade (Aurora, Colo./Regis Jesuit) was 20th and senior Lex Hultquist (Knoxville, Tenn./Webb School) finished 22nd. Tewahade posted a time of 27:14 and Hultquist had a mark of 27:20.
Denison returns to action on Saturday (Sept. 20) at the Calvin Invitational.
