Men's Cross Country: Salukombo named NCAC Athlete of the Week

Denison freshman Dee Salukombo (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week after placing fourth out of 187 runners at the Calvin Invitational on Saturday.

Salukombo's time of 25:35 helped the Big Red to a sixth place team finish against some of the top competition in all of Division III.  While race host and No. 1 ranked Calvin held down five of the top-8 spots in the standings, Salukombo snuck into sixth place and was just three seconds behind fifth place Erik Van Kampen.

Denison will be back in action this Saturday (Sept. 27) when they compete at the Cedarville University Invitational.
