A repeat performance by Dee Salukombo (Lakewood, Ohio/Lakewood) to win the individual portion of the 8000-meter men's race at the Great Lakes Colleges Association Championship garnered North Coast Athletic Conference Runner of the Week honors for the Denison sophomore. Salukombo's time of 25:45 placed him first of 89 runners with a 22 second lead over the second place finisher. Salukumbo's repeat of his 2008 championship performance helped Denison to take third at the GLCA Championships.

The Big Red will return to action at the Cedarville Invitational, Saturday, September 20.
