Men's Cross Country: Bendtsen Turns in Fine Showing at Nationals

Denison University senior Joel Bendtsen (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) competed in the 2007 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country championship in Northfield, Minn. on Saturday and finished in the upper fourth of the 280-man field.
Bendtsen, who qualified for nationals as an individual after placing seventh at last week's NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet, ran a time of 25:32 to place 62nd overall. The winner was Tyler Sigl of University of Wisconsin-Platteville who ran a time of 24:24. The team championship went to New York University. Allegheny College, of the North Coast Athletic Conference, placed seventh.
This was Bendtsen's second consecutive qualifying appearance at the NCAA Championship meet.
