Men's Cross Country Places Second at Wilmington

The Big Red men's cross country team placed second out of 16 teams at the Wilmington College Fall Classic on Friday night.
Denison was led by a pair of top 10 finishers in Joel Bendtsen (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) and Grant Russo (Medina, Ohio/Medina). Bendtsen placed fifth with a time of 26:15.41 over the course of the 8K run. Russo took eighth overall in 26:40.88 and Brian Gilson (Cortland, Ohio/JFK) and Clark Paciorek (Novi, Mich./Northville) were just outside the top-10 with 11th and 12th place finishes, respectively. Gilson logged a time of 27:00.50 and Paciorek crossed in 27:02.02.
Rounding out the top-five for Denison was sophomore Skylar Mosenthal (Briarcliff, N.Y./Briarcliff) who placed 22nd in 27:22.65. First-year Adam Tewahade (Aurora, Colo./Regis Jesuit) took sixth on the squad and 28th overall with a time of 27:32.32.
This was the final warm up for the Denison men before the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships which will take place on Oct. 28 in Richmond, Va.
