Men's XC Races to Fourth Place Finish at All-Ohio

The Denison men's cross country team had a great showing at the All-Ohio Championships at the Methodist Theological School in Delaware, Ohio on Friday afternoon. As a team, DU finished fourth out of 22 Division III teams and 13 out of 42 total schools; Division I, II, III and NAIA teams included.

Junior Joel Bendtsen (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) led the way for the Big Red, finishing sixth overall in Division III in a time of 27:06.5. Bendtsen's time was good enough for 40th out of 286 total runners in all divisions.

Next to cross the line for Denison was sophomore Grant Russo (Medina, Ohio/Medina), in a time of 27:36.4, placing him 17th overall. Senior Brian Gilson (Cortland, Ohio/John F. Kennedy) finished next for the Big Red. He ran a 27:57.7, good enough for 30th place. Senior Clark Paciorek (Novi, Mich./Northville) was 38th in 28:13.5 and right on his heels was sophomore Skylar Mosenthal (Briarcliff, N.Y./Briarcliff) who ran the exact same time as Paciorek, placing 39th.

Rounding out the top seven for DU was senior Jake Rodriguez-Noble (Maumee, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) who finished 67th in a time of 28:50.4 and freshman Adam Tewahade (Aurora, Colo./Regis Jesuit) placing 78th in 29:13.2.

The men's cross country team will be back on the course again next Friday, when they compete in the Wilmington Invitational.
