Football: Lambert Named NCAC Defensive Player of the Week

Date: November 12, 2007
Location: Granville, Ohio

Denison freshman defensive back Tyler Lambert (Ranger, GA/Gordon Center) was named NCAC Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Lambert was a key to the Big Red's 20-7 victory over Earlham as he intercepted three passes in a single game for the second time this year for a total of seven interceptions in seven games this season. Seven interceptions in one season is the most interceptions seen by one Denison player since Jon Dunham in 1999 who had eight.

Lambert also made seven solo tackles, and broke up two passes aside from the interceptions in Saturdays's victory.

The Big Red finished the season 4-6 overall, 3-4 in the NCAC.
